Skellefteå Open 2008 will be an event with PDGA major status. The event is held 17 - 20 July 2008. When Skellefteå Open holds PDGA major status the tournament changes name to Scandinavian Open.

There will be 160 slots in the tournament, 130 MPO, 20 MPM and 10 FPO. For MPO division there are 125 spots available by qualification and 5 wildcards. In MPM and FPO the players with the highest PDGA rating that have registered will get a spot.
