Once again, for the fourth year, our dear Abuela (Grandma) has called us to let us know that she will be passing through Madrid April 18-19. This team she's even decided to participate in the fun, and she sent us this photo as proof that she's already getting into shape for the tournament!
So, without further delay, it's our pleasure to invite you and your team to celebrate the visit of our beloved Abuela with Los Quijotes!
The details of the tournament are:
- IV Trofeo de la Abuela Ultimate tournament, in Madrid, Spain.
- April 18-19, 2009.
- 12 teams: Initially, there are 8 bids reserved for Spanish teams and 4 bids for international teams that want to join in on the fun.
- Participating teams must be MIXED. (minimum of 4 girls on the roster)
- Corocotta (2008 champions) and Frisbillanas (2008 Spirit winners) have green cards, provided they wish to attend.
- 2 fields of natural grass, available accommodation near the fields, dinner Saturday night and, of course, the party!
- To register for the tournament, send an email to quijotesultimate+abuela09@gmail.com before February 15.
- On February 16, we'll accounce the list of 12 invited teams. If more than 12 teams sign up, the teams not selected will be placed on the waiting list.
- The team fee has been set at 50€.
- The player fee is still being negotiated. There will be several options for accommodation so, depending on the option selected, the player fee will be betwee 60-65€ and 80-85€.
