The eighth annual Huck of the Irish tournament will be held on March 7-8, 2009 in Salisbury, MD. Huck of the Irish 2009 will host 24-32 Open College and 16-20 Women's College teams. This is a college only tournament. The tournament fee is $220 per team, and includes bagels, fruit and water at the fields, and 6-8 games per team. Tournament champions receive a tournament fee waiver for the next year's Huck of the Irish to defend their title.
HOTI 2008 champions were Cornell (Open) and Maryland (Women's). Last year's tournament featured a diverse field of teams from the AC, GL, ME, NE, SO & SW regions, and we expect an even stronger field of teams this year.
This will be a UPA insured event, so teams will be required to submit a roster, and players must be UPA members, or pay the UPA one-time event fee.
Bids are due by January 28, 2009, and accepted teams will be announced by January 30. No payment is required until accepted teams are announced. Any questions regarding the tournament and/or bid process may be emailed to us as well.
