YOU READ IT RIGHT! Not ONE but TWO Nights of Flight!
Night One: THE BRAND SPANKIN' NEW... FIRST NIGHTS OF FLIGHT TEAM TOURNAMENT
Night Two: THE ORIGINAL, SIXTH ANNUAL... FIRST NIGHTS OF FLIGHT HAT TOURNAMENT
It was exciting last year to have our fifth First Night of Flight be another great success. In response to the past five years of continually increasing demand, we ended up changing our structure to expand the tournament to include another 20+ players in our annual overnight indoor Ultimate-fest. And, near as we can tell, that's about it. Until we take over an NFL dome to host First Night, we're all out of space and can't accommodate any more new players.
But every year, with growth to the youth and collegiate scene as well as the expansions made in competitive ultimate by Pittsburgh and all of the neighboring communities in the region, we end up with a full tournament and a waiting list. And we get feedback every year to make the tournament longer, bigger, better, to create more opportunities to play Ultimate, especially with the cold weather and lack of indoor facilities in our area.
So we ARE expanding First Night, and with your continued support it can continue to be a premiere opportunity for indoor ultimate in the off-season... First Night of Flight, beginning with the 2009 New Year, will become First NIGHTS of Flight. That's right. PLURAL. With an "s", and so forth.
