The 2009 ACC Ultimate Championships will be held on the weekend of January 24th and 25th. The Championships are being hosted by the UNC Ultimate team and the Student Recreation Department at UNC-Chapel Hill.
The top 10 men's teams from the Atlantic Coast Conference, including UNC, NC State, Duke and the University of Virginia, will be attending.
This is the inaugural ACC Championship tournament for ultimate frisbee -- be a part of history!
Played under a modified set of ultimate rules based on the UPA 11th edition (click here for the rule changes), tournament action will be non-stop. Each game will be overseen by two observers with new, expanded ruling powers and full stats will be kept.
All games are being played in UNC-Chapel Hill on the Hooker all weather fields near Carmichael Auditorium and Fetzer Field.
Play begins Saturday morning at 8:30am and continues throughout the day. Saturday is highlighted by a UNC vs. Duke showcase game at 3:30pm, while Sunday features the elimination rounds culminating in the ACC Championship game at 2:30pm!
Field side viewing is available and spectators are welcome. Tournament programs with team rosters and schedules will be available for a $5.00 donation.
