Why using FFindr for running your Frisbee tournament registration?
Launched in 2009
, FFindr is ever since providing a free online registration tool for every tournament organiser.
Based on a FFindr tournament page, its administrator can easily setup an online registration with powerful options
. Until today 637 tournaments and organisations ran their registration via FFindr
, collecting a total of 14657 registrations. Among them many famous events like Windmill Windup
, the official European events organised by the EUF
, the official German events organised by the DFV
, and many (many, many, ...) more.
The advantage with online registrations run on FFindr is transparency: everybody sees instantly who signed up, which eventually boosts the motivation of others to quickly do the same.
Find below some more technical details (in addition to those listed here
) for those who intend to use FFindr for their next registration.
Basically an online registration via FFindr consists of a start and an end date, allowing teams (or players in case of hat tournaments or training camps) to register during these dates. Depending on the setup each team might have to povide some information, all this can easily be configured during setup. The player registration is actually incoporated as well, a registration can thus also ask for players (connected to the team's roster) with custom questions as well.
An important feature of FFindr's tourney registration tool are eligibility checks, allowing to limit a registration to certain teams and/or players that are part of a given group (e.g. EUCS Player 2014). There is also the powerful option to setup as many mandatory or optional fields as a TD wants, each expected answer can be requested in one of the following formats:
- Free text input
- Yes, No, or Maybe select
- Number select from 1 to 10
- Number select
- E-mail address input
- Phone number input
- Date select
- Country select
- Language select
- Approval (agree checkbox)
- Gender select
- Skill level select
Each registration triggers a confirmation e-mail to the person(s) who registered and the tournament admin as well, in addition to an immediate integration in the list of registered teams or players. The tournament admins can also, at any time, export the current list of registered teams for further usage. Or, even more elegant, use the FFindr API
to integrate the list of registered teams on their website.
Eager to test all this? Go ahead and try it yourself, and don't hesitate to get in touch in case of questions.
P.S. Yes, running registrations on FFindr is entirely free!
