Huge thanks to the teams for coming to West Coast Sand. The weather tried to put us off on the Saturday but the spirit prevailed in the end as all had a good time.

The final was eventually taken by Buckley Cottage Ultimate who were the team on form all weekend. Shake & Bake looked good on the first day however FrisbeeENC had kept enough from day 1 to take them in the Semi and book a place in the final. The final was Buckley Cottage Ultimate's Closest match all weekend but the team in rising form all tournament was Kapow! who rightly went home with the Spirit of the Game trophy and a win in the 3-4 play off.

This year West Coast Sand has moved to the May Day Bank holiday weekend, 1st – 3rd May, to give you three days for Ultimate beach actions. That’s right three days of beach ultimate on Exmouth Beach. Not only do you get three days of ultimate you also get, Free camping Saturday & Sunday, two parties and player pack for every player including breakfast, lunch and gifts.

This year West Coast Sand is also becoming mixed. A loose mixed rule will be enforced and we expect every team to have at least one women on the pitch. This is down to two things; I prefer playing mixed Ultimate and almost every team had women playing for them last year.

update: I have had a very good initial response to the player fee set up for West Coast Sand. However; the feedback I have been getting is that the players don’t think that three days of ultimate, camping, a disc, a t-shirt, 2 parties and 5 meals is worth the money. So I’m re-engineering the event.

For a flat fee of £130 you can now have 3 days of Ultimate on the lovely soft sand of Exmouth beach, No restriction on the number of players in your team (Loose Mixed Rules still apply) your team will also receive 10 discs and there will still be 2 parties.

The food package is still available as an addition For £10 per person you will get

Saturday - Lunch – Pasta with Sauce & a bottle of water

Sunday – Fried Breakfast Lunch – Buffet

Monday – Fried Breakfast Lunch – Jacket Potato with choice of toppings & a bottle of water

I can also book camping for you at Prattshays Farm, the camp site I was originally offering accommodation at originally. It is £4 per person per night, has showers and a BBQ area. Owned by the National Trust, its only 2 miles form the pitches and Exmouth town centre. A bus route goes near it going to straight to the town centre so you won't have a problem getting to the parties.
