Frisbee tournaments in India / Ultimate Delhight

Dear Ultimate Lovers!

We are proud to announce the first ever International Ultimate Tournament in Delhi!

The Ultimate Delhight 2011 will take place on 5-6 November in the amazing Delhi National Stadium.

This tourney will offer:

• Fantastic grass on 6 full size fields (see pictures on our website)
• A unique occasion to play Indian teams (the ultimate scene in India is really taking off!), teams from South East Asia, and EU, US&international players
• Swiss Format, for the first time ever in South east Asia (check out our website for details; basically the Swiss Draw format ensures that teams are ranked quickly according to their real strength and play close matches against opponents of similar strength)
• Coed/Mixed format: 4:3 gender ratio encouraged, and 5:2 accepted
• Prizes! Yes, you read it well. Final details are not yet finalized, but there will be prize (ideally covering travel expenses) for top 3 teams in SOTG, and in ranking (see details on the format page)
• Fantastic party on Friday: expect many surprises.

For this first edition, we decided to ask neither team fee nor player fee, only a team deposit of 150USD per international team is requested, which will be refunded on the first tournament day.

If you can't get a full team, you may also register as an individual player, and we'll include you with either an international pick-up team or another team, for this we only need a 50USD deposit, which will be refunded on the first tournament day.

Practical info about Delhi (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delhi): Delhi is very well connected and you will find many affordable flights. All the action is close to the airport so commuting is a cinch! Most of the nationalities need a visa to come to India. This is usually done within a day at the embassy, in a few days by courier; check your country’s Indian embassy for details.
