Edinboro University Ultimate is proud to announce that, for the ninth year running, it will be hosting its annual college tournament, Skylander. Skylander IX will follow in the tradition of past Skylanders by providing two days of competitive tournament play, a badass party on Saturday night, and an awesome tune-up for any team for the spring season.
In the past 4 years, 'Boro Ultimate has hosted the Metro East Regional tournament and West Penn Sectional tournament both twice, and promises a well run tournament with good fields on campus.
Cost: $250 per team
Your bid money will get you bagels, bananas, apples, and water for both days, pizza after Saturday's play, and the party which will be held Saturday night at the Edinboro Inn.
Bid information and deposit of $100 must be in by Saturday, September 19, 2009. Accepted teams will be announced that following Wednesday, September 23.
There are hotels in the Edinboro area, one of which, located in town right off of I-79 is brand new (opened in July, 2008) and another, in town, is the place where the party is held. Rooms are available at reasonable prices at both places. Tournament hotel deals will be announced in the coming weeks.
To submit a bid, put your team name in the subject area of the e- mail. In the e-mail, tell us how many teams you intend to bring, the team types (men’s, women’s, or co-ed), and the name and a phone number of the contact person. Also include team information (recent UPA college series placements, any notable tournament finishes, etc.) to help us with seeding.
