About SELL Student Games and how is this helping Ultimate to take over the world?

SELL Student Games is an international, multidiscipline student sport festival with around 1500 students participating every year. Ultimate is one of around 15 other sports in the Games that are organized in one of the four countries – Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania (Suomi, Eesti, Latvija, Lietuva). The history of the games stretches back to 1923. They were interrupted by WW2 in 1940 and resumed in 1998. Since then Ultimate has fragmentary been included in the games with a participation of 3-5 teams while other team sports usually have around 12 teams. Having similar number of teams in Ultimate would definitely help us to secure Ultimate among other sports for the future. For Ultimate to be a part of such a big event which is only growing with each year is a great opportunity. The next step would be to get Ultimate among the disciplines of World University Championships and after that Universiade (the Olympic Games for students). If you want to create the future – get involved. If you only want to play Ultimate and have a good time with your fellow students – don’t hesitate.
