The word is out so get your team registered sooner than later for the Peterborough Ultimate League's 4th annual tournament, Harvest 2008. This mixed tournament will be held on the weekend of September 20/21 and expects to attract 15 teams from leagues around Ontario.
Combining friendly competition, massage therapy students, a freshly prepared vegetarian feast, a raucous time at a local watering hole with entertainment on Saturday evening, camping at grounds adjacent to the fields, a Friday night bonfire and glo-disc game, the Peterborough league welcomes you to attend what is sure to be even more fun this year.
The tournament will once again be held at Beavermead Park, which borders the Otonabee River, and is only a 20-minute walk from downtown Peterborough. Team fees will be $600 for teams of 15 persons, which includes game play, camping, Friday night glow-game, light breakfasts, field food, Harvest Feast and refreshments, Saturday night party with live band, and general good times.
We decided on a Harvest theme because it's a great time of year to be supporting the local farming community and enjoying the fresh produce that is grown in the region.
