The battle is over and we, for now, have won.
Over the past three days over 600 people lynched the monster that is the Copa Cabana and brought it slowly to it's knees. I was in fact the first casualty of the weekend. Over the past eight years the Copa has become bigger than just a tournament. For its organisation it's a battle between a crowd challenging us with the extension and realisation of their collective tournament dreams, shaped by our vision to create, and struggling against those who would tell us what we cannot do. We all step out of our respective environments for three days and nights and with an unrelenting will we push our ability to celebrate the social and physical hallenges of the sport we love at the tournament that never sleeps.
I'd first like to thank Dene Sheppard who does a good amount if not more than I do towards making this event a success. In addition there is our team Flyght Club who step up to the challenge each year.
Congrats goes to
To those who asked, the band was called Kingsize. Look them up on google.
The Saturday night party this year was best summarised by "Battle not with monsters lest you become one." - Friedrich Nietzsche
The monster will rise again next year. I hope you'll all be there to do battle with it again.

Stats:
The Copa is a monster that cannot be stopped. The only way to beat the monster is to become the monster.
