What is Beach Ultimate

Rules

WFDF 2008 Rules (modified for Beach Ultimate) will apply - see http://beachultimate.org/5on5rules.html

For beginners - Don't worry, just read "10 Easy Steps" and your teammates will teach you the rest. The first few games will be very relaxed while new players are learning.

Remember that the most important rule is "The Spirit of the Game" - Beach Ultimate relies upon a spirit of sportsmanship that places the responsibility for fair play on the players themselves. Highly competitive play is encouraged, but never at the expense of mutual respect among players, adherence to the agreed-upon rules of the game or the basic joy of play. The purpose of the rules of Beach Ultimate is to provide a guideline describing the way the game is played. It is assumed that no Beach Ultimate player will intentionally violate the rules; there are no harsh penalties for inadvertent infractions but, rather, a method for resuming play in a manner that simulates what would most likely have occurred had there been no infraction.

Footwear

Playing in bare feet is preferable but socks or similar attire is allowed. Running shoes, plimsoles, sneakers, Crocs etc are not permitted.

In the event of dispute the tournament director will wear the item whilst walking on your bare foot - if you don't cry, you can wear it :)
