f! Ooo Devon is a Place on Earth!

This weekend saw 9 teams come down to experience why Ooo Devon is a Place on Earth!! With the weather supposed to be a mixed bag all weekend we loved it in the sunshine of Saturday and wrapped up for the rain on Sunday.

With the top 4 holding their seeding this set up semi-finals between Nice Legs Shame about the Face v's (a Devon heavy) AWT and Danger! High Voltage v's Supermanshaft, with the bottom five in a round robin to win the plate.

The youth of Supermanshaft triumphing over the experience of Danger High Voltage and Nice Legs proving to much for AWT this set up a final that many from the cover of the Tournament HQ marque enjoyed. With big hucks being put up and brought down by both sides, some slick confident handling and flair from all players on the pitch seeing Nice Legs Shame about the Face win out 15-6 to claim the first Ooo Devon is a Place on Earth Winners Trophy.

Elsewhere Return of the Mack topped the bottom five to claim the plate that saw all games being able to be one by either side.

In the much anticipated Devon Spike Off Second Wind were first to step-up with AWT raising the bar utilising the entire pitch and destroying all the cones before expressing their love for each other as team mates. This brought out the big guns of Return of the Mack, Choke Hazard and the lack lustred effort (though impressive looking) from Danger! High Voltage. At the end of the qualifiers the two teams left raised above the rest Floppy Disc & Return of the Mack. With the final of the Spike Off to be played out during half time of the final on Sunday. Upon a rain soaked pitch R.O.T.M opted to go second Floppy Disc turned there score into a Human Pyramid and Spiked the disc from two rows of people high. To top this R.O.T.M put a defensive played on the catcher and had him lay out for the disc. Upon catching the disc it was set on fire and then the defensive player was DDT'ed onto the flaming disc to Spike him and the disc to become the first winners of the Devon Spike Off.

Thanks to everyone who played, everyone who helped set up and take the marque down, to the Exeter City Council for marking the fields in a rain soaked run up week before the tournament, everyone who pick-up rubbish and to the whole Ooo Devon Team for making this possible.

A mixed(ish, one women one the line (at least) at all times) Fun Tournament to be held in Devon with loads of ultimate, a giant slip 'n slide, and the much talked about Devon Spike Off!!
